Jim Wagner
After graduating from the University of Delaware with a degree in Agricultural Sciences he started his
career working at the EPA pesticide programs in its Washington, D.C. and Atlanta offices. He left the EPA to work in private
industry at ICI Americas in the Regulatory Affairs Department where he became a manager of EPA and State Registrations. He
held this same position in the successors to ICI: Zeneca Ag Products and Syngenta Crop Protection. In 2001 Jim formed Wagner
Regulatory Associates.
With extensive experience in product registration, Jim has registered many different types
of herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, biocides and rodenticide products, proprietary chemistry as well as many generic
compounds including biochemical and microbial products.
Jim has served on numerous industry association and task
force committees and work groups and presently is a member of the Regulatory Committee of the Chemical Producers and Distributors
Association. He has personal contacts with key EPA and state staff and has written a guide to registration of pesticides in
Chemistry and Technology of Agrochemical Formulations, Kluwer Academic Publishers, 1998.
